Environment

Windows Server 2008 R2, BOBJ 4.0 SP04 and Sharepoint 2010

 

Downloads Required

 

·         SharePoint integration kit can be downloaded from SAP Service Market Place https://service.sap.com/swdc > Installations and Upgrades > A - Z Index > B > SBOP BI platform (former SBOP Enterprise) > SBOP BI PLATFORM 4.0 > Select you operating system > Depending on your architecture select component CD. In my case im going with 51043405_1 - SBOP BI PLAT 4.0 SP04 (w/ FP03) INTG FOR MS SHAREPOINT WIN.

·         Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 x64 with Service Pack 2. This can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=5719

 

Pre Requisites

 

·         On BusinessObjects server and start the web client service. This service is needed to access and modify internet based files (SharePoint doc library). Enable and start the service Webclient.  If you are using Windows Server 2008, Please note Webclient Service is not enabled by default. You need to follow the below steps.

Open Server Manager and click the Features node > If "Desktop Experience" in not already listed under Features, >  click "Add Features" > Select the "Desktop Experience" item and then click next followed by Install > Reboot the PC as instructed.

·         Enable the services Webclient  and Windows sharepoint admin from services.msc

·         Your SharePoint can access UNC paths like folder structure with backslash address.

 

Installation

Proceed with  CD Number  51043405_1  - SBOP BI PLAT 4.0 SP04 (w/ FP03) INTG FOR MS SHAREPOINT WIN . Start the installation with setup.exe.

 

After selection of language pre requisite check will be performed.

 

Proceed with wizard and after sometime it will prompt you for package deployment option.

 

Input existing CMS administrator credentials.

 

 

 

This setup completes your installation of integration kit for SharePoint.  In next section you need to publish reports to sharepoint portal.
