SAP BPC NW7.5 Appset Backup Procedure

Hi,

Procedure to take backup of appset in BPC NW7.5 Vesrion.

Steps to Take Appset Backup in  SAP BPC7.5 NW

BPC Landscape Details

S.No	System Name	IP Address	Hostname
1	BPC Host ( Usually BI Server)	192.168.1.116	SAP BPC SERVER

               

1.       Goto Run > Type mstsc to 192.168.1.116 ( BI Development System)

2.       Enter User name :  Administrator  & Password :

3.       Once logged in Windows , create a folder (Name it as current date DDMMMYY) in D:\backup\APPSET-backup\ DDMMMYY

4.       From 192.168.1.116 go to Run > type sapgui 192.168.1.116

5.       Saplogon Screen Appers ( Enter your login credentials  )

6.       Enter Transaction UJBR

7.       Check Radio Button : Execute Backup

       Execute In : Foreground

       Appset ID : Appset which  you want to take backup  of ( Select From List )

       Kindly ensure to check Metadata, Master Data & Transaction Data and Record Count = 0

8.       Change Execution to Background

9.       Now execute Backup F8(  )

10.   This will execute your Appset Backup.  You can monitor backup using SM66 / SM37 BTC job running  UJT_BACKUP_RESTORE_UI.

11.   Once Backup is finished you will find ZIP file in folder which contains Metadata Tables, Master Data and Transaction data in excel or CSV format.
